The awards event which is celebrating its 9th season will take place on the 25th of October 2014 and will feature some of the biggest performances and side attractions ever witnessed on the Headies stage.
CEO of Smooth Promotions, Ayo Animashaun said: “Our
decision on this year’s selection of hosts for the Headies is
undeniably a well deserved selection as Bovi and Toke Makinwa have both
made a huge impact in the industry with their outstanding skills and
talent. Guests are definitely in for a world class experience this year.”
The Headies, formally known as the
HipHopWorld awards has over the years recognized and celebrated notable
achievements of buzzing artistes and entertainers in the Nigerian
entertainment industry.
As the anticipation for the awards build
up, nominees will be revealed later in the month as well as special
performances for 2014. As with last year, the recently introduced
category, The Best Alternative Song will be featured again this year.
